The Henry Ford Welcomes Raytheon Technologies as Title Sponsor of 6th Annual Invention Convention U.S. Nationals


(Dearborn, Mich. – March 17, 2021 ─ The Henry Ford’s Invention Convention Worldwide is pleased to welcome Raytheon Technologies as the title sponsor of Invention Convention U.S. Nationals. The sixth annual event will be titled as Raytheon Technologies Invention Convention U.S. Nationals powered by The Henry Ford. Raytheon Technologies has been a partner and presenting sponsor of Invention Convention U.S. Nationals since 2016. Held virtually, this year’s competition is anticipating more than 400 participants showcasing their inventions that solve problems they see in their every day lives and issues facing our world. An online awards ceremony hosted on the Invention Convention Worldwide and the social channels of The Henry Ford will take place on June 24, 2021.

Invention Convention Worldwide is a global K-12 invention education curricular program mapped to national and state educational standards that teaches students problem-identification, problem-solving, entrepreneurship, and creativity skills.The program builds confidence in invention, innovation, and entrepreneurship for life. More than 120,000 K-12 inventors from across the country participate in Invention Convention Worldwide programs each year, with the hopes of advancing to the U.S. national competition.  

Students compete at local and regional levels before advancing to the U.S. national competition. Students without access to local competitions are welcome to participate by submitting a video presentation of their invention, a prototype, an inventor’s logbook showing the journey of their invention process, and a poster board highlighting key points of the invention process.
