Henry Ford met with Ford Motor Company branch managers aboard the Hornet, a 96-foot steam yacht owned by Horace Dodge. Horace, along with his brother John, operated Dodge Brothers Company, which produced transmissions, axles, and engine parts for Ford's Model T. The Dodge brothers began manufacturing their own automobiles in 1914.
