Handwritten in ink on front, lower edge of image: Thos A Edison / Connie Mack Handwritten in ink on back: Picture taken at Philadelphia Training / field 2/24/26 by myself. On 2/27/26 I interviewed Mr / Edison and presented him with copy of this picture at which time / he autographed the same. It is a picture of the old gentleman the / first time he ever held a base ball bat. He has a very pretty / home adjoining Mr Fords Home with a natural setting of jungle / especially flowers. I inquired as to his religion and he believes in / the 10 Commandments and the Great Creator. But no particular / Denomination. Mrs Edison much younger is a very wonderful / companion and is Methodist [Episcopal]. Very cordial and simple / and most accommodating / Nelson Sears / Mr Mack manager of the Atheletics [sic] signed his name / same date
