Buckminster Fuller. It is a 3/4 geodesic / dome or "skybreak bubble" -- an invention of Mr. Fuller -- 20 stories / high and 250 feet in spherical diameter. The lightweight space frame / structure is a lacy filigree of metal supporting a transparent skin. / The dome is filled with natural light by day and glows from internal / light by night. / The Pavilion houses a multi-level composition of platforms /supporting exhibits on lunar exploration, the fine arts, the / cinema, folk art, and the "American spirit".
