John Burroughs on a "Vagabonds" Camping Trip, 1918

Summary

Calling themselves the Vagabonds, Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, Harvey Firestone, and John Burroughs embarked on numerous camping trips between 1916 and 1924. Various support staff were needed to maintain supplies, set up camp, cook, and drive. After a meal during a 1918 trip through the Blue Ridge Mountains, John Burroughs seems to be helping the service staff by drying off dishes.
