This brochure reprinted an anti-war article published in the Detroit Times on April 14, 1939, four and a half months before Nazi Germany invaded Poland and ignited World War II. The article called for an amendment to the Constitution forbidding secret alliances and agreements that could lead to American involvement in foreign conflicts.
