Summary

Henry Ford documented some of his personal history in Greenfield Village. In 1944 he had a replica of Ford Motor Company's first factory, a former wagon shop on Detroit's Mack Avenue, constructed in the village. The replica was roughly one-fourth the size of the original building which had burned down in 1941.
