"65 Million Years" by Kelly O'Dell, 2023

Summary

Glass captivated Kelly O'Dell (1973- ) from a young age, watching her father work in his small studio. She acquired additional skills and knowledge at the famous Pilchuck Glass School and by assisting well-known studio glass artists, notably William Morris. O'Dell sculpted this dinosaur -- part of her continued exploration of these beasts of the ancient past -- during her 2023 "Artist-in-Residence" at Greenfield Village.
