This is the view to Henry and Clara Ford's vacation home along the Caloosahatchee River in Fort Myers, Florida. Ford purchased the property, which neighbored his friend Thomas Edison's winter retreat, in 1916. The Fords named the estate "The Mangoes" and surrounded their newly built bungalow with tropical landscaping, including the mango and oleander plants seen here.
