Start your magical visit to Day Out With Thomas™ with a fun-filled Railroader's Brunch at A Taste of History Restaurant in Greenfield Village.
Featuring a kid-friendly menu of Bananas Foster French toast, Belgian waffles with assorted toppings, Florentine and mushroom frittatas, scrambled eggs, yogurt parfaits, assorted pastries, fresh fruit and more. It’s a fun, filling and convenient beginning to your day in Greenfield Village with Thomas and Friends™.
Enjoy music by the Picks & Sticks Stringband, along with railroad-themed storytelling and a character visit from Sir Topham Hatt™.
Admission includes brunch at A Taste of History, a 10:30 a.m. train ride aboard Thomas the Tank Engine™, Day Out With Thomas™ programming, one VIP parking pass in Eagle Lot per reservation, and all-day access to Greenfield Village.
After brunch, guests will be escorted to Smiths Creek Depot for their timed train experience.

All guests within a single purchase will be seated together. Food allergies, dietary restrictions and requests to be seated next to a specific party can be noted during the online purchase process.

Ticket purchasers can join an online queue at 8:30 a.m. EDT for first access to tickets starting at 9:00 a.m. on both member and public sale dates.

- Tickets for Railroader's Brunch are available online and by calling our Contact Center at 313.982.6001. Dining packages cannot be purchased on-site.
- Is there a guest-per-table requirement/limit?
- Seating is flexible at A Taste of History because of multiple-size tables. If tickets are purchased together, your group will be seated at the same table or adjoining tables for larger groups. Seating requests between parties will be accommodated based on availability. Please make note of additional seating requests during the online purchase process.
- Can the dining packages accommodate my dietary restriction(s)?
- We can accommodate most dietary requirements, including gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian substitutes.
Please be aware that our facilities are not food allergen- or gluten-free. Our food may contain or encounter common allergens, such as dairy, eggs, wheat, soybeans, tree nuts, peanuts, fish, shellfish and wheat. While we take steps to minimize risk and safely handle the foods that contain potential allergens, cross contamination may occur. - All tickets/seats for children aged 5 and under will automatically come with a highchair or booster seat.
- How many VIP parking passes come with my reservation?
- Each Railroader's Brunch reservation comes with one VIP parking pass to park in Eagle Lot. We recommend carpooling or alternate parking arrangements for additional vehicles. Regrettably, we cannot provide more parking passes.
- Where is Eagle Lot?
- Please use the attached map and be sure to have your parking pass ready upon arrival.
- What time does Eagle Gate open for VIP parking in Eagle Lot?
- Eagle Gate will open beginning at 8:45 a.m. for all Railroader's Brunch ticketholders.
- What time should I arrive for brunch?
- Please arrive at A Taste of History Restaurant at 9:00 a.m. to begin your seating. Brunch will end promptly at 10:00 a.m.
- What if we arrive late for brunch?
- Please try to be on time. If you are late, you can be seated up to 15 minutes after service begins. The dining event will still end at the designated time.
- How do I make changes to my purchase?
- All dining packages are nonrefundable and nonexchangeable. If you would like to add guests to your reservation, please make a separate dining purchase and note that you have an existing reservation, including the reservation number. If you believe you have made an error during the purchase process, please notify our Contact Center within 24 hours of your purchase.
- Does The Henry Ford offer refunds or exchanges in the event of extreme weather conditions?
- Day Out With Thomas™ is held rain or shine and will be canceled only in the case of severe or dangerous weather; no refunds or exchanges will be given due to inclement weather. Dangerous conditions are determined by The Henry Ford in cooperation with local emergency services.
Please note that certain program elements may be suspended during the event in the case of lightning or other severe weather conditions. - Do you offer ticket insurance?
- Yes, we offer FanShield Ticket Protection by Protecht.
You can add FanShield Ticket Protection to your online ticket purchase in case of unforeseen circumstances for a small fee. Fanshield covers ticket losses due to illness, injury, work travel, military service, transportation issues and more.
