Texaco Service Station Experience
Daily Activity at Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation®

Visit the service bay of the Texaco Service Station and try your hand at being a mechanic as you diagnose, assemble, inspect, maintain, test and repair various components throughout the exhibit.
This interactive area is geared toward young learners, and enjoyable for guests of all ages and abilities.
- Repair: Explore the tools used in a mechanic's shop to find the best for repairing a car.
- Inspect: See how the parts of a four-stroke engine work together.
- Assemble: Place different pieces of a car together to complete a puzzle.
- Test: See if the electricity from a battery can power a car's lights or horn when you test a circuit path.
- Maintain: Check tire pressure, oil level, and make sure you have a charged battery to keep a vehicle maintained.
This experience is supported in part by an award from Michigan Arts and Culture Council (MACC) to be an interactive learning space designed for guests of all ages and abilities.
