Maria Grady, motorsports photographer at Paretta Autosport, and Madison Conrad, powertrain reliability specialist at Roush Yates Engines and mechanic and pit crew member at Paretta Autosport. They shared their own experiences to help empower the next generation of girls and women in racing and STEM careers.

In this week’s Women’s History Month: Celebrating Women in Racing Spotlight Series supported by Paretta Autosport, Beth Paretta, CEO and team principal of Paretta Autosport spoke with Stefy Bau, founder and CEO at Init Esports and Init Sports. Stefy Bau is a former professional motocross and supercross superstar with seven Italian national championships, five U.S. national championships and three world championship titles. In this video, Stefy shared her own experiences and how she inspired and elevated the next generation of racers.

Culturally Responsive Teaching and the Brain  

Presenter: Zaretta Hammond

Zaretta Hammond is a national education consultant and author. She is a self-described "former writing teacher turned equity freedom fighter.” Her passion for the intersectionality of equity and culturally responsive teaching led her to write the book Culturally Responsive Teaching and the Brain: Promoting Authentic Engagement and Rigor for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Students. This publication has been used in many educational programs for pre-service teachers.

For this presentation, Hammond discussed her book, research and best practices that can be implemented in the classroom.

Louis Patler geared his workshop to meet the needs of student innovators and entrepreneurs. Participants left the IFR workshop armed with a personalized plan to generate real results.
