Stand 44
In season. From scratch. By chefs.
To bring a new restaurant to Greenfield Village that would enhance the variety of dining options available to guests, we knew we had to look to several places for inspiration. The name honors the food stand where celebrated local huckster Mary Judge sold her goods in Detroit Central Market, the architecture is based on the designs of early 20th-century architect Albert Kahn and the menu is informed by the modern Great Lakes growing community.
Great care was taken at every level to ensure that we’ll not only serve delicious food but deliver on our values as well. Here, you’ll find chef-crafted entrees alongside a dedication to sustainability in everything from everyday operations to the building itself. We’re proud to note that Stand 44 is LEED-certified, meaning the building has been awarded a globally recognized symbol of sustainability. Plus, all of the waste produced by the restaurant is being composted into a rich soil amendment to be used in our historic farms and gardens.
